We have a challenge for you - why not start 2018 as you mean to go on and try something new in January? It could be learning a new craft, sampling some new food or drink or taking up a new hobby. To help get you started we have a whole range of activities taking place at The Royal Oak this month so why not come down and join us for #TryJanuary?

Wednesday 10th January - 7-9pm

Try Card Making

Learn techniques to make beautiful, personalised cards and take your creations home at the end. There is no charge for the evening but we would welcome donations to the Hail Weston Defib fundraising.

Thursday 11th January - 7-9pm

Try Brush Lettering - SPECIAL OFFER £20 (usual price £30)

Learn to master brush lettering in this popular workshop run by The Shop at Forty. Everything you need is supplied and you can take it with you at the end to create your own presents or home decor.

Friday 12th January - 6pm onwards

Try Mocktails

Want to liven up your Dry January - or just fancy trying something new? Then come along to the launch of our new mocktail menu. We will have some free mini tasters so you can find your new favourite tipple.

Saturday 13th January - 11am-midday

Children's Workshop - Try Crafting Bookmarks

Learn to craft corner bookmarks.  All materials are provided and children can take their bookmarks home at the end. Suitable for children age 4+ NB parents must stay and supervise children.

Try the WI

Why not consider joining the WI in 2018? For any ladies wondering what the group offers, come along to meet members of the Great Staughton WI and have an informal chat about activities lined up for the next year.

Try Bridge

The Hail Weston Bridge Club will be at The Royal Oak to teach new players how to play this fascinating game. So if you've always wanted to give it a try - or want to brush up your skills - please come along!

Saturday 20th January - 6-9pm

Try an Italian Feast

Treat yourself to an authentic Italian feast created by Chef Massimo. You can choose from a two or three course feast (£22 or £26 - includes a glass of Prosecco). Booking essential. £10 deposit required.

Fancy dusting off your record collection? Well we're bringing out the turntable and welcoming all vinyl lovers to an evening where we can share great tunes.

Try Haggis (AKA Burns Night at The Royal Oak!)

Come along to The Royal Oak's Burns Night and try some traditional Scottish fayre and entertainment. Choose two or three course option (£17/£20). Booking essential. £10 deposit required

Try Singing

Do you enjoy singing? Well then why not pop down the Royal Oak and try out with our local singing group, The Mondays. The group sing all kinds of songs and no experience is necessary - just enthusiasm!
